Scenic Design

Overview of Course

During my junior year at Southwestern University, I had the opportunity to enroll in the Scenic Design course. In this class, I learned the basic tools and techniques of design, specifically for scene design: concepts and methods used to develop scenic designs and drafted plates. I expanded my understanding of theatre graphics and processes through practical application of design projects. Widened my understanding of dramatic literature and other sources of information when conducting period research for a theatre production. Explored and discuss imaginative solutions for scenic design.
